Jeffrey Soffer is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fontainebleau Development, one of the country’s premier real estate development groups that specializes in large-scale lifestyle developments within the hospitality, retail, residential, and commercial sectors.
One of the country’s most highly regarded real estate developers, Jeffrey Soffer has been dedicated to Fontainebleau Development’s growth for more than 25 years. His vision and influence can be seen in the development of numerous award-winning projects in South Florida and abroad.
Soffer has evolved Fontainebleau Development from a regional leader into one of the most creative and dynamic organizations in real estate today. Soffer led the $1 billion expansion and renovation of the company’s landmark Fontainebleau Miami Beach, transforming the iconic resort into one of the country’s most sought-after beachfront playgrounds. Famed for architect Morris Lapidus’ emblematic curvilinear façade and whimsical interior elements, the 1,504-room resort now includes two new luxury all-suite towers; 12 restaurants and lounges; a 40,000-square-foot spa; and a dramatic oceanfront poolscape.
In addition to Fontainebleau Miami Beach, the company’s portfolio includes JW Marriott Turnberry Resort & Spa, a 300-acre, AAA Four Diamond Mediterranean-style luxury retreat, and the Four-Diamond Hilton Nashville Downtown.
Soffer also has created numerous South Florida residential landmarks, including Turnberry Ocean Colony, Porto Vita, Fontainebleau II and Fontainebleau III, Turnberry Village and more; brought his company’s “mansions in the sky” concept to Las Vegas, creating the first high-rise condominium community overlooking The Strip; partnered with MGM Mirage to build The Residences at MGM Grand, which includes three sold-out and completed 40-story towers on the Las Vegas casino-hotel property; and expanded the company into suburban Washington D.C. and The Bahamas with successful high-rise residential developments. Currently Soffer is spearheading development of Turnberry Ocean Club Residences in Sunny Isles Beach, a new 54-story ultra-luxurious high-rise tower on the ocean featuring 154 residences ranging from 2,750 to 10,000 square feet.

Brett Mufson is President and a partner of Fontainebleau Development. As President, Mufson is responsible for the strategic direction of the company, overall management of the firm, the pursuit of new development opportunities and corporate acquisitions and financing activities across all business platforms. In line with Fontainebleau’s mission to create dynamic, multi-faceted spaces that connect people and enrich their communities, Mufson is committed to developing customer-centric growth strategies to enhance the performance of individual assets and drive business line expansion.
Prior to Fontainebleau, Mufson was the Head of Acquisitions and Capital Markets for Witkoff, a private real estate and development company headquartered in New York City with offices in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Miami. Mufson successfully led more than $7 billion in development and real property transactions across virtually every sector of the real estate industry. Mufson started his career at Bear Stearns in their mortgage structured products group focusing on highly complex conduit originations and real estate financings. After Bear, Mufson joined LoanCore Capital, a privately held asset management firm focused on commercial real estate credit, where he was responsible for originating, structuring, and underwriting commercial real estate loans across the country.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Mufson is actively involved in many real estate, art, and charitable organizations, including the Whitney Museum and Mount Sinai Hospital. Mr. Mufson is a member of the executive committee of the Zell-Lurie Real Estate Center at The Wharton School. Mufson also sits on the board of Gibson Avenue Capital, a value-add real estate investment firm specializing in the acquisition of manufactured home communities, retail and office assets.

Philip Goldfarb

As Chief Operating Officer of Fontainebleau Development, Goldfarb has oversight of Fontainebleau Development’s Hospitality Group and the company’s capital projects team. Goldfarb brings over three decades of hospitality experience to his role at Fontainebleau Development’s growing portfolio of hotels and resorts. He has been instrumental in numerous projects, including introducing new restaurant concepts and multi-million-dollar renovations to the various assets.
As a distinguished graduate of Florida International University’s (“FIU”) Chaplain School of Hospitality, Goldfarb held the esteemed position of Chair of the Dean’s Council at FIU’s Chaplain School of Hospitality. He remains an influential alumnus on the Board of Directors and has been awarded FIU’s prestigious “FIU Medallion” as well as the hotel school’s “Torchbearer Award.” He was also recognized by the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce with the “Excellence in Tourism Award” and as one of the South Florida Business Journals “Power of Leaders in Hospitality.”

Daniel K. Adkins

Daniel K. Adkins joined Fontainebleau Development in May, 2018, as Managing Director and Chief of Casino Operations and Gaming Development. Adkins brings 42 years of experience in casino and pari-mutuel wagering operations. With a background in engineering, Adkins’ early career included 12 years with Autotote Ltd., predecessor to Scientific Games, Ltd., one of the world’s leading providers of pari-mutuel wagering, gaming and lottery systems. Adkins was at the forefront of developing, training and installing pari-mutuel systems at the majority of racetracks and Jai Alai Frontons in the United States and played a significant role in developing the existing platform for sell/cash pari-mutuel wagering systems. In addition to Adkins’ gaming expertise, he brings extensive real estate management and development skills. He has decades of work in Governmental affairs, and is highly regarded for his role in spearheading the successful statewide ballot initiative in 2004 that brought Class III gaming to Florida and paved the way for the State to enter into a long overdue revenue sharing compact with the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Both these endeavors have strengthened Florida’s economy and provided broader employment opportunities for its residents. In 2009, Adkins was officially recognized as one of the 50 most powerful people in Broward County, Florida.
During 32 years with his prior stewardship of a Michigan based multi-family real estate company, Adkins also successfully operated racing venues in Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, and West Virginia. In 1994 in West Virginia, he steered legislation to allow slot machines at pari-mutuel facilities. In 2006, he won the voters’ approval to expand that operation to full casino gaming. This provided many additional employment opportunities – at the casino and at the State University which began an accredited course for casino related careers.
Mr. Adkins is highly respected for his commitment to many and varied charities with an emphasis on children’s programs. He is also well-known for his passion to be proactive for the improvement of each community where his business interests lie. He is a current member of the Broward County Tourism Development Council where he has served for the last five years.

Sheryl Kass

Sheryl Kass joins Fontainebleau Development as Vice President and General Counsel, coming from Turnberry, where she focused on select financing transactions, asset and entity oversight, retail and hospitality agreements and contracts, residential purchase and sale agreements, development contracts and
other advisory work.
Sheryl was previously with King & Spalding out of New York City. As a Real Estate Partner for the firm, she represented investment banks in financing deals of commercial assets including shopping centers. She also represented joint ventures in obtaining financing and assisted developers in acquiring various types of real estate.
Sheryl received her Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from Emory University School of Law.

For more than two decades Jim Cohen has been a leader in the luxury residential real estate industry, contributing to more than twenty billion in sales throughout his career. As the President of Residential for Fontainebleau Development, Cohen will all sales efforts Turnberry Ocean Club Residences and future development projects to be announced. Prior to holding this position, Jim led sales efforts for some of the most noteworthy buildings in the marketplace as well as holding a Vice President of Sales position at Turnberry for seventeen years where he oversaw Porto Vita, Turnberry Ocean Colony and many other reputable development projects.

Eric Cohen

As Executive Vice President of Construction for Fontainebleau Development, Eric Cohen has over 25 years of multi-story construction experience in South Florida, overseeing all phases and construction of residential, hospitality, retail, and medical development projects.
Prior to Joining Fontainebleau Development, Cohen served as a Project Executive for Coastal Construction Group of South Florida, where he managed various projects for the past 17 years. While with Coastal his projects included luxury condominiums, hotels & historic renovations, in Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach. Key assignments included the Miami Beach Edition Hotel and Luxury Condominiums, The St. Regis Bal Harbour, Ocean Palms Condominium, The Ritz Carlton Miami Beach, and a host of other hotels and commercial projects.
Eric has a degree in Construction Management from Florida International University (1991), is a State Licensed General Contractor (Florida) since 1992, and for the last 11 years has served on a local City Building Oversight Committee.

Patrick Powers

As Senior Vice President, Patrick Powers is responsible for all accounting information and treasury functions for Fontainebleau Development. Powers joined the company in 2000 having served as Chief Financial Officer as well as Controller from 1995 to 2000 for Williams Island in Aventura, Florida.
A graduate of Florida State University, Powers holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

John Rawlins

John Rawlins

For the past 25 years, John Rawlins has been cultivating timeless and luxurious interiors for businesses and homes throughout the country. Originally from Connecticut, his passion for design led him to New York City to study interior design at the prestigious Pratt Institute where he was equally inspired by the cultural offerings of the city that never sleeps. Upon completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design, he joined the architectural firm of Tucci, Segrete & Rosen which specialized in luxury retail environments and retail property development. Over the following 7 years, he rose from a studio assistant to the design director.
When Neiman Marcus (one of TSR’s clients) purchased Bergdorf Goodman, John was tapped to be the new Creative Director of Store Design and he would lead an ambitious reinvention of the historic department store. The former, dowdy, grey lady of Fifth Avenue was transformed into the exuberant and opulent temple of fashion it is today. In 2004, John continued his corporate career within the luxury, retail sector by accepting the position of Creative Director at Saks Fifth Avenue where he was responsible for the design and overall customer perception of all 56 stores.
In 2007, John formed Rawlins Calderone Design with business partner Athena Calderone which allowed his passion for design to be applied to high-end residential and hospitality projects in addition to his ongoing consultation for various luxury retailers and brands such as Nancy Gonzalez, Lorraine Schwartz, Thakoon, Rebecca Minkoff, and Harrods of London. John was eventually retained by the Fontainebleau Resort to design three retail boutiques at the iconic resort as part of the 2008 grand re-opening. A symbiotic relationship between client and designer was formed which led to additional projects at the Fontainebleau as well as residential projects for members of the Soffer family. Ultimately, John joined the team full time as the Vice President of Design in the fall of 2016 where he continues to apply his talents with the goal of creating inspired and memorable environments for the assorted assets of the company.

Austin Bagwell

Austin Bagwell serves as Executive Vice President of Hospitality Sales for Fontainebleau Development, a premier real estate development group specializing in large-scale lifestyle developments within the hospitality, retail, residential, and commercial sectors. In this role, Ms. Bagwell spearheads the sales efforts, brand awareness, and synergy for group convention customers at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Fontainebleau Las Vegas, JW Marriott Turnberry Isle, and Hilton Nashville, as well as other Fontainebleau Development entities. A highly driven and passionate hospitality sales professional with extensive knowledge of top-tier meeting destinations, Ms. Bagwell brings more than 20 years of hotel sales experience to her role and a proven track record for delivering on promises to organizations, clients, colleagues, and investors.
Prior to joining Fontainebleau Development in November of 2022, Ms. Bagwell served as Director of Global Sales for MGM Resorts International’s Luxury Meetings District. She began her hospitality career in Destination Management in Orlando, Florida before moving to Las Vegas to open The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, where she spent three years as a top-producing sales account executive. From 2013 to 2020, Ms. Bagwell continued her hotel sales career handling the Midwest and Incentive House Market for ARIA Resort & Casino.
Ms. Bagwell received her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from The Central University of Florida. She currently resides in both South Florida and Las Vegas.

Anthony Stahl

Anthony Stahl is Senior Vice President of Development at Fontainebleau Development, a premier real estate investment, development, and hospitality firm recognized for its best-in-class portfolio spanning residential, commercial, gaming, resort, and entertainment assets. Anthony is responsible for the day-to-day execution of development activities across the company’s diverse platform, overseeing new ground-up projects as well as large-scale capital improvement programs at operating properties. His oversight spans a wide range of asset classes, including hospitality, office, residential condominiums, mixed-use, multi-family, entertainment, retail, and world-class resorts.
Prior to Fontainebleau, Anthony was with the Related Companies, where he split his time between New York and Miami, managing hotel, office, and mixed-use development and acquisition initiatives across Miami-Dade. Working alongside executive leadership, he played a central role in establishing and scaling the office’s operational infrastructure to support long-term growth in the region.
Earlier in his career, Anthony held development and acquisition roles at L&L Holding Company, where he contributed to more than $3 billion in new development, and founded Alba, a multi-vertical technology platform connecting institutional investors to large-scale real estate transactions nationwide. Throughout his career, he has built and scaled high-performing development teams and organizations, bringing a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach to growth and execution. He began his career at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in San Francisco and later Foster + Partners in New York/London, working on record-setting residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects across the U.S. and Latin America.
Anthony holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Policy, and Economics from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he focused in Real Property Development. He is actively involved with the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami.

Beginning his career at the renowned Four Seasons Hotel in Miami, Raul quickly established a reputation for excellence. His journey has spanned VIP services, nightlife, and high-end bar operations, cultivating a rare blend of people-first leadership and operational savvy.
Since joining Turnberry Associates (now Fontainebleau Development) in 2009, Raul has been instrumental in aligning cross-functional initiatives with company vision and nurturing high-level relationships across teams, clients, and international partners. His current role includes overseeing acquisition operators for senior positions and ensuring that both internal teams and valued patrons experience the highest standard of service and leadership.
Raul holds a degree in Hospitality Management and Business from Florida International University (FIU). As a trusted advisor in play development and international client strategy, he helps bring big ideas to life—transforming innovative concepts into operational success stories.

Jared Horowitz

Jared Horowitz serves as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions & Capital Markets at Fontainebleau Development. He is a key member of a select team responsible for evaluating, sourcing and executing new acquisition opportunities, transacting in the debt & equity capital markets, managing balance sheet strategy, and overseeing asset management across hospitality, residential and alternative use projects and businesses.
Prior to Fontainebleau Development, Mr. Horowitz was a Vice President at Mack Real Estate Credit Strategies where he worked on a transitional lending platform including the origination and acquisition of mortgages, mezzanine loans and preferred equity across various asset classes. His earlier roles include real estate securities investments within a Mack Real Estate Group affiliated hedge fund, acquisitions and asset management within Mack Real Estate Group and loan origination at LoanCore Capital.
Jared earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.

As the Vice President of Food and Beverage, David Snyder spearheads the culinary and service operations as well as overseeing restaurant development across Fontainebleau resorts. With more than 30 years of food and beverage experience in his well-traveled portfolio, Mr. Snyder is among the most recognized and respected executives in the global hospitality industry. His extensive background includes working with and developing culinary teams at prestigious brands such as The Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Florida, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, Loews Miami Beach, and Wynn Las Vegas.
Since joining Fontainebleau in 2022, he has distinguished himself as a highly engaged and visionary leader in culinary operations, consistently elevating the Fontainebleau brand through his unwavering commitment to excellence and adherence to the highest standards.

Bryan O'Shields

Bryan O'Shields

Bryan is the Executive Vice President of Food and Beverage at Fontainebleau Development. He has brought over 30 years of global experience developing and optimizing hotel food and beverage operations. Throughout his career, his leadership has consistently driven the creation of innovative restaurant concepts while developing strong quality of operations, people development, and bottom-line financial results.
Before joining Fontainebleau Development, Bryan held several prominent F&B leadership positions. He was the opening Vice President of Food and Beverage at Bellagio in Las Vegas, as well as the Corporate Vice President of Worldwide Food and Beverage at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in Hong Kong. He also served as the Corporate Senior Vice President of Food and Beverage at Fontainebleau Resorts when the present hotel in Miami Beach was reinvented and reopened in 2008.
Bryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He further developed his leadership skills by completing the Harvard Business School Executive Education program in 2020, focusing on Leading Global Businesses.

Joon Oh

Joon Oh serves as the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Capital Markets at Fontainebleau Development. He is responsible for new investment opportunities, structuring capitalizations with lenders and equity partners, and project management. With over a decade of experience in investments and asset management, Mr. Oh plays an integral role in the planning and execution of business plans across the firm’s diverse portfolio, which includes hospitality, gaming, residential, commercial, and recreational assets.
Prior to joining Fontainebleau Development, Mr. Oh was a Vice President at Witkoff, a privately held real estate investment and development firm, then headquartered in New York. There, he led the underwriting team, managing the firm’s national portfolio. He began his career in investment banking at Wells Fargo’s Eastdil Secured, where he advised publicly traded REITs on mergers and acquisitions, strategic initiatives, and portfolio financing.
Mr. Oh holds a degree from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, with a concentration in finance and real estate.

Tina Vo serves as Corporate Counsel for Fontainebleau Development, where she provides strategic legal guidance across the company’s diverse portfolio of assets, negotiates critical operational agreements, and manages litigation involving commercial and business, employment, general liability, and real estate matters.
Ms. Vo brings valuable perspective from her previous experience as a partner at a litigation law firm in Los Angeles. During her tenure there, she represented a broad range of clients, including Fortune 500 corporations, in complex litigation and counseled clients in commercial and entertainment transactions.
Ms. Vo earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law and is admitted to practice in Florida and California.

Rob Flicker joins Fontainebleau Development as Corporate Counsel, with over twenty years of experience practicing in South Florida and representing developers in financing, asset and entity oversight, retail and hospitality agreements and other transactional matters. Rob was previously in-house with the Miami Design District and was an associate with Carlton Fields in Miami, where he primarily represented banks in financing deals of commercial assets and landlords of shopping centers.

Michael Gilbert is the Executive Vice President of Luxury Services and Lifestyles at Fontainebleau Development, where he has been instrumental in setting the gold standard for elevated residential living. Since the late-1990s, he has been a key force behind the nationwide expansion of Fontainebleau’s signature hospitality into its luxury communities, guided by a philosophy that seamlessly combines operational excellence with genuine, heartfelt service.

Before joining Fontainebleau, Michael was President and COO of Frenchman’s Creek Yacht, Beach & Country Club in Palm Beach, where he oversaw the complete lifestyle and operational development of one of the nation’s most prestigious private communities.
Before that, he served as Executive Vice President of Williams Island in Aventura, Florida, helping transform raw land into a private island destination known for its sophistication and sense of place.
In the early years of his career, Michael served as Regional Development Officer for Club Corporation of America, where he was responsible for the acquisition, rebranding, and operational oversight of more than 30 golf and country clubs, business clubs, sports clubs, and alumni clubs across 12 states.
A graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, Michael brings a visionary approach and a legacy of excellence to every private residential offering he helps shape.
